It's a.........

Well, how long can I keep you all in suspense as to what the gender of our baby is? Probably not long, as many of you received text messages from Justin or myself this afternoon when we found out.

A few bits of good news:

1. Our baby is measuring further along than they thought, so Dr. Smith bumped my due date back from February 4th to January 26th.

2. The baby was squirming all over the place during the ultrasound--very active.

3. 2 arms and 2 legs, great looking spine :)

4. Great heart rate--we saw all 4 chambers, everything looks good.

5. No harelip (runs in the Tate family)

Here's the profile (sorry for the crooked scan...I didn't feel like re-doing it):

Ok, now for the next picture, if you look closely at the cute little bum (and the ultrasound tech's notes) you can tell what the gender is:

That's right...it's a girl!! We are thrilled about it...Justin has been saying over the past few days that he "just knows" that it's a girl. And I think I would have been very surprised if it did turn out to be a boy (not that we didn't want one). So there ya go! We are so excited and we can't wait til the end of January/beginning of February!!

Congratulations!! I feel so dumb, I emailed you yesterday before I had checked your blog, so I hope it didn't come across as rude not congratulating you in that email.

Have fun shopping, for girls it's addicting!
