christmas eve & christmas day 2007
justin had to work most of the day on christmas eve this year. i stayed in and cleaned and did laundry pretty much all day. you should've seen how swollen my ankles were at the end of the day. anyway, family came over for dinner and then my mother-in-law told a cute little story and we all just hung out. justin made it home just in time to hear the story and hang out for a bit before everyone left.
we woke up on christmas morning and justin had started a fire and made hot chocolate for me. it was very nice. the two of us (and lola) opened our gifts together before the family came over for our annual gift exchange. my big present was a sweet lens to go with my new camera, plus a tripod. justin also got me a very cute scarf that i have been wearing all week...i love it. justin got a bunch of new clothes, some cat stevens cd's that i found (the few that he didn't already have), and a new head lamp. it was a nice christmas for the two of us...crazy to think that next year we'll be buying presents for three!after we opened our presents, the rest of the family came over and we all had breakfast--eggs, bacon, toast, egg nog. yummy. we then proceeded to the opening of the presents. it was fun, but i'm telling you, watching those kids open all those presents really wore me out. i was exhausted by dinner time.
ella & ansley in their dress-up clothes that auntie kristen gave them. ansley opened hers first and instantly stripped down to put the pretty dress on. then ella stripped, because she knew that the present she was about to open was going to be a princess dress. it was actually very hilarious.
justin & quinn playing with one of windsor's presents. it's these little plastic things that you can make shapes out of and then iron them to make them stay together. they were a hit.altogether, it was a great christmas. we are so grateful for this wonderful holiday celebrating Christ's birth and for the fun family traditions that we get to take part in. we hope everyone had a fantastic christmas, and we wish everyone a very happy new year!!

I love the picture of the stockings and tree by the fire. We always had a fire at Christmas time and one of my favorite sites is the unopened presents by the tree on Christmas morning. :)
Jules, sorry to hear about the car, but soo glad you three are ok!!!
Love the pics you took. Think you're a natural. Not sure you need to hire a photographer for the baby! You'd do great!
Great posts!!!
