1 year stats

i forgot to post rowan's 1 year stats last month. here they are:

weight: 18 lbs, 8.59%
height: 29 in, 48.31%
head: 19 in, 99.26%

she's mini, and with her walking at 10.5 months, it was funny to see what looked like a little baby walking around. her head's not mini though. i'm ok with her big brain, except for the fact that when she falls, her head is the first thing that hits. so she constantly has forehead bruises, the poor thing. still cute though.

other notables at 1 year:
-she loves her parents very much, and pretty much prefers us to anybody else as long as we're in the room. but it's out of sight, out of mind when we're gone.
-she loves babies. she loves people. she stares at them. we went to a store the other day and there was a huge poster with a girl on it and she couldn't stop staring.
-she likes books (i think). she has a limited tolerance for them when i'm reading to her, but if she finds her books on her own, she will sit there and look at them forever.
-she's sneaky. she knows when she's doing something that she's not allowed to, and will look over her shoulder to see if we are looking. so mischievous, but it's so funny to watch.
-on a similar note, her favorite things to play with are the things she's not allowed to play with. like the plunger and toilet brush. and the printer (we have a certain brand photo printer/copier thing that has a little screen, which she's obsessed with). so right now the printer sits underneath my desk, and she loves to go under there and play with the printer while i'm working.
-she's not phased by dogs in the least. they don't scare her. and since we have a large dog, i love this.
-she's fast. i can't let her out of my arm's reach in church, otherwise i have to run to catch up with her. running's not a great thing to do in church during sacrament meeting.
-she loves to eat whatever we are eating. sometimes this is good ("green" drink in the mornings) and sometimes it's bad (french fries...i know, i'm so bad)
-she is so fun to be around, and has really been an easy baby for this first year. we are so grateful for her in our lives. we just love her :)
