Lima Bean Kids- A Christmas Affair

I would be remiss if I didn't mention what kept me extremely busy this fall.  We did our first show at the Austin Junior League's A Christmas Affair in November.  Basically, it is a big shopping show.  It was a LOT of work, but we learned a lot and I'm glad we got to do it.  It was the first time I had left my kids for more than a night (first time leaving Harper, period) and I have to say, Justin did a great job (with my sister's help) while I was gone.  And the house was spotless when I got home.  I'll have to go away more often.  HAHA!!

I have been wanting a pretty "Did you think to pray" image to hang in our room and even though I found some very, very cute ones, I thought I'd do one myself in the colors I want.  The font for "pray" isn't exactly what I wanted, so I'm still searching for the perfect font, but overall I am very happy with it.  And, I definitely need this reminder a lot of the time.

goodbye 2009...HELLO 2010!!!

2009 has been good (it flew by for us), but I am SO looking forward to 2010. I have many things I want to improve on and accomplish, and am just so excited for a fresh start. Here's to 2010 being the best year yet!

halloween pops

rowan & i have a couple of parties to go to this week and i thought i'd make some halloween pops for the kids. again, they are a little sloppy. but the kids will like them (i hope!!) we're going to package them up in little individual lollipop bags with cute little tags with kids names. it will be fun.

i was going to draw faces on the pumpkins to make them jack-o-lanterns but after i'd finished drawing the ghost faces, the edible ink pen was about done. it doesn't work that well anyway, as you can tell from the ghosts.

i'm deleting my other blog

i hardly ever post there. if i didn't have so much going on, i'd be able to spend more time looking for stuff that i really really like. but for now, i'll post random stuff here. and of course everything about rowan.

first try...

so, i tried to make bakerella's cupcake pops. mine aren't nearly as cute and perfect as hers. in fact, mine are rather sloppy. i think i was just so excited to actually be making them that i rushed through so i could see the final result. the rushing may also be due to a certain girl with the initials R.T. who didn't want to be anywhere but in my arms today. anyhow, now i know what to do differently next time.

even though they aren't that pretty, they sure are tasty...

i think we're going to try to do some halloween ones next week :)

it's my birthday, and i'm relaxing as much as possible today! finally! my goal this week is to {finally} post about the family reunion, and rowan's be-lated 6 month stats.

busy

wow, i haven't posted any pictures of rowan for a while. sorry mom! i've been so crazy busy these last couple of weeks, i don't think i've even taken any pictures! i do have some of rowan's first time at the pool that i'm still going through/editing, so i'll post those when i finally have a few minutes.

i love how rowan always has bedhead these days. her hair is getting too long for her headbands...they just don't look right when i put them on her. so we usually just comb it and let it be for the rest of the day. anyway, she is getting more and more animated every day. she loves to talk...but it seems like she only wants to talk when she's got a toy or her hands shoved in her mouth. it's so funny. i took video on my phone of her talking yesterday, but the computer is having trouble with it, so i'll get it up for you as soon as i can.

we are going on a little trip down to st. george with the tate clan this coming weekend, and i'm so excited to get some photos of rowan and all the kids. and we're going to see les miserables! can't wait. so i'll definitely have some stuff to post next week!!

mother's day

had a great first mother's day...justin & rowan got me a bunch of goodies: two dozen roses, a gift card for a mani/pedi at remedez, some shade shirts, and dried mangoes (i'm obsessed with them.) thanks my loves!

to my mom: thank you for all you do and are to me and each of your children. i love you and couldn't ask for a better mom. happy mother's day!

4 generations

this is pretty much the only photo that we took when rowan and i went to new jersey to visit my family last week. grandma, mom, me, rowan. good times. thanks again for having us, mom, we had a great time. we love you!

we went outside with the justin, brad, jamis and all the kiddos for a few minutes today. i think rowan was warmer than me :) ahh she's just so adorable!

fat feet

look what this child is doing to my feet. i usually have pretty skinny ankles. right now i don't even have them at all. ahhh, pregnancy...they can tell you all about the things that happen to your body, but you never truly understand until it happens to you...

baby shower number three

my lovely sisters-in-law threw me a baby shower last night. good food, family...it was very fun. i loved every gift and can't wait to use everything! thank you dawn & kelly for putting it all together! i loved it!

now if this baby would just get here....

baby shower #2

on the 11th of december, my sister and friends threw me a baby shower. it was loads of fun--mainly because we just sat around and talked most of the time. gotta love chatting it up with the girlfriends, right?

here's the beautiful and delicious cake that my wonderful friend tara brought. so pretty, but even more tasty. for all you locals she got it at channings bundt cake factory in provo. i'm scheming for a reason to go get another...

I really need to blog, I know. I've been busy and not busy all at once. Not busy because I'm so tired (the last month or so of this pregnancy is not looking too appealing, I'm already exhausted). And busy because there's a lot going on: work seems busy, the holidays always bring extra activities, and I've been working on designing some holiday cards. I'm hoping to take some pictures at my baby shower tomorrow night (thanks Jess), and I'll be sure to post them. Also, the dresser/changing table came today and the crib is being delivered tomorrow, so I can get her room all set up! Once I put everything together I'll post some pics of that as well. Can't wait. Lots to look forward to in the weeks to come!!
