Twilight & New Moon

Ok, so I wasn't buying in to the hype about these books. But I decided to give Twilight a try anyway. I read the whole thing on Monday, and since I couldn't get enough of Edward Cullen, I went to Borders and picked up New Moon, and then read that whole book on Tuesday. I can't believe how much I loved these books. They were just so hard to put down. And now I absolutely cannot wait until the August 7th release of the next book in the series, Eclipse.

So, can anyone tell me what it is about the characters that makes you want to just keep reading and reading? I'm telling you--and I'm not embarassed by it at all--that I'm officially in love with that vampire! (Ok, a little embarassed--he's fictional). Anyway, I'm glad everyone else enjoyed them as much as I did. And I'm excited that there are other people to share my enthusiasm with when the next book comes out!

I tell Ben every night that I have issues. Ben is really busy with his surgery rotation and I always tell him, "at least I have Edward." I don't know what it is about the characters but you can't get enough. Oh and on a side note I told Ben today that he is going to be a Vampire for Halloween. Hopefully it does it for me!

I am so with you on those books. It's definitely the characters and the connection I feel with them that makes me love this series so much. I can't wait until August 7, how exciting!

I'm going to give in and read the books after your post and Melissa's comment. I hope you (Melissa) have a very happy Halloween!

I'm totally with you on those books! They were amazing and yes, I think it's perfectly normal to be madly in love with a fictional vampire...or so I hope! They say there's a movie coming out about these too and I can't wait for that as well.

Yeah, it's nice to feel a little normal in your obsession with a fictional character. I know what you mean :) Hey, if you can't get enough, check out her website and you can read about how she's writing the first book again thru Edward's point of view. Aug.7 can't come quick enough!!
