2 months
we went to the doctor today for rowan's 2 month checkup. here are her stats:
weight: 12.31 lbs (86th percentile)
height: 23.0 inches (75th percentile)
head circumference: 16.5 inches (98th percentile)
she's huge, and the stats confirm everyone's remarks that "she's so big." but the doctor made me feel better when he told me that many breastfed babies grow a lot in the first few months, and then their growth tapers down a bit as they get older. so she won't be gigantic.

ya, that's what the doctor said about Chase, but he's a TANK! :) But so cute! Rowan is adorable. I love her mass of hair :)
Hey, Anna was a big baby the first few months too and she's not anymore and she was breastfed. Besides, I've heard that weight the first year of life is a reflection of nutrition, not genetics. :) Be glad she's healthy and reassured that you've got an adequate milk supply.
She's normal! Breastfed babies do gain more in the beginning but they are far less likely to be overweight later. She's PERFECT! I love when you post pictures so I can see how she's changing!
She won't be gigantic! Check out the chubster picture of Max - he has slimmed right down. Chubby babies are healthy babies, it is a good thing!

Kate was even bigger at her 2 month checkup, 95% all away around. People now don't believe me when I tell them she is almost a year, they think she's so small. Their growth definitely tapers off. Chubby babies are healthy babies, and it means you've got enough milk, yeah!
All of my kids did the same thing. It's like they were in a hurry to get to 6 months, and then they all tapered off. I love looking at your blog and I was telling Jacquelyn the other day how cute I think Rowan is :)

kate was 13 lbs 14 oz and 23 inches long... so i know the feeling when people come up to you and say shes so big.... shes soooo cute!
she looks so cute! she has such cute hair! i hope my babies have hair :)
