I heard that Urban is opening (finally) at the Gateway on Thursday. I'm completely excited. Christmas shopping just became very appealing.

fattening foods of fall

thank you mardi, for pointing this out to me. i have been using pregnancy as an excuse to eat "comfort" foods but i just have to quit. seriously. this article details the 8 most fattening foods of fall. number one? halloween candy. one of my favorite guilty pleasures. numbers two and six are mashed potatoes and stuffing, respectively. those calories sure do add up. i'll definitely be watching myself over the next few months.

on a lighter note, i just got this gorgeous letterpress 2008 calendar from this darling etsy shop.

love it.

Today...

...marks 6 years since 9/11. I still remember watching the news in my high school genocide, history, and calculus classes. Here's to keeping all the victims and their families in our hearts today.

....is Tuesday and we find out the gender of our baby on Thursday at 2:30pm. I CANNOT WAIT!!

....I am wearing actual maternity clothes (just jeans) for the first time. I can't decide how I feel about it. They're pretty cute though--Gap capris. Maybe I'll take a picture in them later. Maybe not.

And today I have my eye on the darling dresses of Shabby Apple. Very cute stuff. I especially love the super inexpensive accessories. Shabby Apple's "Helping Women Worldwide" program is pretty darn cool as well--they donate 5% of their profits to help the poverty situation in 3rd world countries. To read more about that, click here.

I majored in advertising at BYU and we always watched amazing ads. I love them. Click on this link if you want to watch a cool commercial by Honda.

Ryka

Ok, so I haven't been running that much lately. But the thought of winning running gear definitely still appeals. I found out about this giveaway that Ryka is doing: 50 pairs of shoes and 50 peformance t's EVERY DAY for over a month! You can find more details at Your Heart Out, a great blog that talks about all things cool in or around Salt Lake City, Utah (as opposed to elsewhere in the U.S.) Anyway, Your Heart Out is also doing their own giveaway. How fun.

The Office is coming...

I don't know about anyone else, but I can't wait for the Office to start! The season premiere is on September 27th...and the first 4 episodes will be an hour long! Yay. This clip is hilarious. Watch it...seriously, it's a web only clip about what they all did this summer.

This is cute...

These shirts are pretty cute. They are topless undershirts, made by Blush. Basically it's a tube top for pregnant bellies. I like them. They've got a few cute patterns, and then a bunch of basic colors. I would love to look as cute as this model does when my belly starts to get bigger. Wishes....

Tutus & Turtles

I'm very glad to have family and friends who have children and who can give me PLENTY of advice for when my first is born. Holly Hill has started an adorable blog called Tutus & Turtles with lots of ideas, from cute kids products to parenting help tools. It's great, and there is some darling stuff on there. So go see it!!...if you're like me, you'll love the recommendations from people who have been there and done that!

My Mac

Well we got our new computer at the beginning of April, but I think I was so excited to blog using it that I forgot about how I excited I was just to get it! I know that many people don't love Macs, but I do. I majored in Advertising at BYU and it was this kind of computer I used the most. It is great for design, all media stuff (music, photos, etc.), and digital scrapbooking ( I know you ladies out there love this as much as I do). Plus, you can make a hardcover (or softcover) photo album right from iPhoto, and Apple will print, bind, and send it to you. It's amazing! Anyhow, we got this computer and it has been just wonderful. Gone are the days of my slow Dell laptop; say hello to easy music and photo management!!

I know many of you will think I'm crazy for being this excited about a computer. But I really do love it!!

Opening Day!

Well, I'm sure everyone knows that Ikea opened today in Draper. Is anyone as excited as I am? I probably won't be going for a few months, as the crowds are undoubtedly crazy right now. Maybe by the time I have my own home it will be less busy?!?!
