just another manic monday

I never love Mondays, but today is especially dreary. It was raining/sleeting/hailing on my way to work this morning. It's a good thing I only have a 3.5 minute commute. Work is.....not the greatest today. I don't think that I'm well-suited for an office job. And (girly as it sounds) my hair is stupid, and I can't handle it any more. I need to do something different with it.

Thank goodness for my new journal, which I bought from her. Not only is it very cute but each page has a quote on it. On the page I was writing in today, the quote reads:

And it's true. Despite my crappy morning, I have a lot to look forward to:

1. Justin has the night off which means we get to hang out {it seems there's never enough hang out time for us}

2. I have a hair appointment at 4:30, and I'm going to try new bangs.

3. I have a little person growing inside me, who I just can't wait to meet.

Life's not all that bad.

Tara & Brittney are my very best friends. We met in college and were basically inseparable the whole time. Britt lives in Las Vegas now with her husband so Tara & I don't get to see her much, but she was in town this week so we got to do our typical girls night at P.F. Chang's...a longstanding tradition that I hope will last forever!

The Great Wall of Chocolate...never leave Chang's without having eaten at least a bite!


So, Tara & I met freshman year in the dorms, and we met Brittney the following summer. We lived at Old Mill & King Henry together. We had a lot of fun times over the years! Brittney married Dan Dye in 2005 (and they are expecting Kate Marie in June!!); Justin & I got married April 2006; and Tara married Spencer Frye last August. It is so fun to get together with my girls and reminisce about old times and share stories about married life.
